The Government of the Republic of Serbia has extended the competition for the allocation of financial resources to mothers of children born no earlier than January 1, 2022, intended for the purchase or construction of a family residential building or apartment.

The subsidy program for the purchase of property for mothers based on the birth of a child includes the following:

– Mothers with citizenship of the Republic of Serbia who have given birth to a child in Serbia have the right to financial resources that represent a contribution to the construction or purchase of an apartment/house.

– Mothers of foreign nationals who have the status of permanent residents and whose child was born on the territory of Serbia or is a citizen of Serbia also have the right to financial assistance.

– The condition that the mother as the applicant must fulfill is that she does not own property in her name.

– The application for participation in the program and the allocation of financial resources must be submitted to the competent authority, the local self-government unit, no later than the child’s first birthday.

– The list of documentation that mothers must submit when applying is issued by the local self-government unit.

– The property purchased or built through subsidies based on the birth of a child represents SPECIALPROPERTY OF THE MOTHER.

– The property purchased or built through this subsidy cannot be transferred in the next 5 years without the consent of the guardianship authority responsible for protecting the rights and interests of the children.

Funds are limited to an amount of 10 billion dinars for this type of assistance to mothers who wish to purchase property.
